A Hiding Place
“For you have made the Lord, my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place.” - Psalm 91:9
What are the things people fear most? According to surveys, people’s fears include death, public speaking, adversity, heights, and close places. Surrounded by so much fear, what if we had a hiding place, a place of safety. Psalm 91 gives us four magnificent metaphors that describe the hiding place God has prepared for those who love Him. This hiding place is our shelter, our shadow of protection, our refuge, and our fortress.
When we are in Christ, and we know Him and trust Him, we discover that in Him we have a hiding place. We are under His wings, and we find in Him a God who provides, a God who keeps His promises to us, and a God who has the power to deliver us from, in, or through any trouble that might come into our lives. Makes me feel safe. How about you?
