Does God grade on the curve?

September 30, 2021
"He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." - 2 CORINTHIANS 5:21

A professor at Johns Hopkins University grades his students on a curve. The highest score gets an A and the rest are graded accordingly. The students in one of his classes decided to skip the final exam and get zeros. Sure enough, since zero was the highest score, they all got A’s! Some people think God grades on a curve based on human goodness. But in God’s system, there are only 2 grades: PASS or FAIL. You might ask, “How good do I have to be to pass?” The answer: AS GOOD AS GOD! If you’re thinking that’s impossible, you’re right – at least in our own effort.

Thank God that on the Cross, Jesus paid the price for our sins and gave us His righteousness so that when God looks at us, He sees Jesus. We pass, because in Christ, we are as good as God!
