After the infamous San Francisco earthquake in 1906, a commission discovered that more damage was done because buildings were not constructed according to code specifications than by the earthquake itself. “Lies” were hidden in the footings, foundations, and frames, and the buildings therefore could not stand the shaking.

The way to have a stable life in the middle of the tremors of crisis is to have a consistent commitment that trusts in God no matter what. Such devotion honors His Word and builds according to His “specs.” So, let me ask you: Are you “on again, off again” in your commitment, or are you steadfast in your faith?
