God is never late

Robert was growing bored in retirement, so he became a Wal-Mart greeter. The customers loved his cheerful and engaging personality. But there was a problem: Robert was perpetually late for work! So the manager called him into his office. “Robert, without question you are one of our best greeters. However, you are always late. Now I know your career was in the military. What did they say when you showed up late?” Robert smiled and replied, “Well, they usually said, ‘Good morning General. May I bring you a cup of coffee?’”

Do you ever feel like God is late? You wonder if He’s ever going to show up to help you! The truth is, God’s timing is always perfect. Plus, our waiting on Him deepens our closeness to Him. Believe me, God will show up in the nick of time… and He’s always worth the wait!
