God’s remembrance

March 23, 2019
"For the LORD your God is a compassionate God; He will not fail you nor destroy you nor forget the covenant with your fathers which He swore to them." - DEUTERONOMY 4:31

When I was a teenager leaving for a date, my mother always told me, “Edwin, don’t forget who you are.” Sometimes those of us in covenant relationship with God forget who we are. We behave as if we were in league with the devil rather than Holy God. Yet He never forgets His covenant with us. The promises in His covenant are many and varied, yet God never forgets a single promise He’s made to you as His child. We can go in life in confidence when we know—especially in the scary places—that God is there and remembers.
