Physical and Spiritual Renewal

March 29, 2023
“Then they came to Elim where there were twelve springs of water and seventy date palms, and they camped there beside the waters.”
Exodus 15:27

Fatigue is a common malady, and every day you are likely to hear someone say, “I’m tired.” The Israelites, after crossing the Red Sea and on their way to the Promised Land, began to complain and grumble. The trip was harder than they thought it would be. Then they came to Elim – and camped there. We all need an Elim. I need to go to Elim on a daily basis. I get a cup of coffee, I pick up my Bible and a deeper-life book, and a yellow legal pad. And I go to my Elim, where I meet with God. I have to find that shade in the beginning of the day, and sometimes again in the evening. We all need Elim, because we are tired and stressed. At Elim there is green pasture, fresh water springs, palm trees, and special moments with God.

Give your time with Him first priority, and let Him take care of the mountaintops and the valleys and the circumstances of your life. Have you been to Elim recently?
