"He (Jesus Christ) who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone possesses immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see. To Him be honor and eternal dominion! Amen!"1 Timothy 6:15-16
Most of us can recall the iconic scene in the movie Titanic when young Jack, played by actor Leonardo DiCaprio, stands at the bow of the ship, spreads out his arms and shouts, “I’m the king of the world!” There’s just one thing I would say to Jack – “No, you’re not.” There is a King of the World, though, and His name is Jesus. Sadly, much of the world does not recognize or acknowledge the King. The throne of their hearts are occupied by other things, other people, or “self.” What or who is on your life’s throne? If Jesus, then proclaim it. If not, then don’t let this day pass without vacating your throne and offering it to Jesus by confessing your sin and receiving Him as Savior and Lord. The King of the world … the real King of the world… wants to be the King of your life.
