Jimmy Parrish was among my boyhood pastors. He has a son—Jimmy Jr.—who was totally blind. We were exactly the same age, so it became my honor to lead Jimmy Jr. around the church and school. Jimmy Jr. had a radiance about him. When I think of God’s promise to lead the spiritually blind, I remember my own desire to guide Jimmy Jr.
I wanted to steer him away from traps and threats. If I, as a not-so-godly teen wanted to lead Jimmy Jr. with care, how much more God will guide us, who cannot yet see all the wonders of His Kingdom and its truth.
