The Real Thing

Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities – his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God."Romans 1:19-20
I am always meeting people who tell me they can’t believe in God without proof that He exists. Listen, you cannot put God in a test tube. Even scientists today realize that everything real is not necessarily tangible. In fact, if a scientist were to take a huge net and cast it into the sea of reality, he would discover that some of the most real and vital things in life had slipped through … things such as love, friendship, and compassion.
As Christians, we can be sure our faith is founded in factual truth, not in some nebulous idealism. Through God’s revelation in nature, history and Jesus Christ, we can have confidence in the truth of His Word and His sovereignty in this world. But remember, what we believe only becomes real when we live it out. Does your life verify that Christianity is indeed the real thing? If not, ask God to bring you back to reality.
