The Source of Peace

“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.”John 14:27
Jesus explained to His disciples that He had to die in order for them to experience peace with God. Then He said, “My peace I give to you.” That is the peace of God. But we will never have this peace if our focus is on the wrong things. What are some things we focus on? Ourselves. Our circumstances. Our possessions. Other people. Only when we keep our focus on Jesus, and see the world as He sees it, will we truly know peace.
Jesus knew we would have trouble doing this on our own, so He sent the Holy Spirit to help us – and to guide us into the Truth.
