In the movie What Women Want, Mel Gibson’s character has the ability to hear women’s thoughts. What is initially a nerve-wracking phenomenon eventually becomes a valuable asset he uses to his advantage. I’ve got good news for you, men. The Bible already tells us what women want, especially our wives in marriage.
In EPHESIANS chapter five, husbands are told to love their wives as Christ loved the church – sacrificially. In 1 PETER chapter 3, husbands are instructed to respect and honor their wives. Men, if we follow these marriage directives, not only will our families be strengthened, our nation will experience revival!
So, husbands, our biblical mandate is to sacrificially love and respectfully honor our mates. I guarantee it’s what women want, especially one woman – your wife!
