An Open Invitation

A Christian was visiting a church that had in its foyer beautiful portraits of famous individuals below the caption, “You are all children of God.” 

While admiring the portraits, he was approached by a church representative. “This is the core belief of our church,” the rep said, adding there was no narrowness or exclusivity in their beliefs. The Christian simply nodded and graciously related that the caption was an incomplete quotation of Galatians 3:26, which says, “For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus.” The way to become children of God is to come to the Heavenly Father through Jesus. Jesus Himself says that He is the ONLY way. Narrow and exclusive? Absolutely … but ALL are invited to become God’s children, members of His family!
