"If you do not listen, and if you do not take it to heart to give honor to My name," says the LORD of hosts, "then I will send the curse upon you and I will curse your blessings; and indeed, I have cursed them already, because you are not taking it to heart.  -Malachi 2:2
In a fallen world, the “curse” is the default position.

You don’t have to “set the button” to get the curse, because things gravitate downward, toward the curse. In the sin-ravaged world, you must willingly and actively set your heart on honoring God.

Jesus showed us there are only two kingdoms—that of God, the Kingdom of Light, and the kingdom of the devil, the domain of darkness. There is no third kingdom, no “kingdom of neutrality.”

People say, “I don’t know whether I believe this salvation business or not, so I’m neutral about Christ and His message.” The agnostic can’t decide whether or not God exists, but believes agnosticism is a safer position than atheism. By default, the spiritually “neutral” have  registered themselves in the kingdom of darkness, the curse zone.

A curse, among other things, is a ban. An individual chooses neutrality, and doesn’t understand why darkness keeps choking out the light. It’s because he or she is isolated from blessing—the favor, prosperity, peace and joy of the Lord— by their own choice.

In a world gone wrong, unless the right choice is made the wrong choice will win.

TODAY’S HEART FOCUS
Where is there spiritual neutrality in your life? Where is it you struggle to believe, and therefore don’t believe? Make the decision to choose what the Bible teaches clearly, whether you can understand it or not, and declare your decision to God.
