Game Time!
"And the streets of the city will be filled with boys and girls playing in its streets."Zechariah 8:5
My son Ben recently interviewed me on the topic of parenting. One of his questions was on the role of basketball in our family. All three of my sons played throughout their school years. It began when they were very young, and we would sit on the floor and roll the basketball to one another. As they grew older, we moved to the goal in the backyard where we would play for hours at a time. Basketball was “our game” – we watched it together and we played it together. We connected with our boys over basketball.
Parents, make sure you have a “family game” – a special time together that’s fun for all and provides the opportunity for family connection. After all, children spell love T-I-M-E. So create and cherish times of family fun as your gift of love to your kids.
