"He said, 'Hagar, Sarai’s maid, where have you come from and where are you going?' Then she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her, 'You are a God who sees…'"Genesis 16:8 & 13
Hagar is pregnant. She has fled from her mistress, Sarai. But the Lord found her. He knew exactly who she was, where she had come from and … that she really didn’t know what to do or where she was going.
Through this encounter with Hagar, we discover that God sees. He not only saw Hagar, He sees you and me. God notices and understands. In other words, God is interested in us. When we’re lonely, estranged or in need, the Lord will find us. That’s the nature and character of our God. He is a searching God – ever the seeker. He hears every groan and sigh we make, every thought we ponder, and every question we ask. So be encouraged! Almighty God is an ever-seeking God, and He is looking for, listening to and interested in you and me!
