"For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake, But My lovingkindness will not be removed from you…" - ISAIAH 54:10
There is always more lovingkindness available than there is the stain of sin. Imagine a painting company with the task of putting a fresh coat on every building in America. Initially, there might be concern about where to get that many gallons of paint. But if the Atlantic Ocean were a huge reservoir of paint, the worry would vanish. David, adulterer and murderer, prays, “according to Your lovingkindness… blot out my transgressions” (PSALM 51:1). The reservoir of God’s grace is inexhaustible. There is always enough for all who repent and ask, and it is never taken away. There is nothing you can do to make God love you more, nor less.
