How to melt the enemy’s heart
Now it came about when all the kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan to the west, and all the kings of the Canaanites who were by the sea, heard how the LORD had dried up the waters of the Jordan before the sons of Israel until they had crossed, that their hearts melted, and there was no spirit in them any longer because of the sons of Israel. - JOSHUA 5:1
You can tell the story of someone else’s experience, but there’s nothing like the power of your own testimony! The disciples of John the Baptist inquire on behalf of their master if Jesus is the Messiah, and Jesus answers, "Go and report to John what you hear and see…” (MATTHEW 11:4-5 NASB - emphasis added)
The Apostle John opens a letter by writing, “What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life … These things we write, so that our joy may be made complete.” (1 JOHN 1:1-4 NASB)
Your testimony is your story of God giving you a new heart. An essay is dry and boring, but a first-person report is thrilling. When you tell others about Jesus, be a reporter, not an essayist. Declare the transformation of your heart and it will melt the enemy’s heart!
TODAY’S FOCUS
Ask God to open opportunities for you to give your testimony to others, and to continue to compose your testimony through His works in your life.
