There’s a big difference between a holy deed and mere action. The holy deed arises from a heart devoted to God while mere actions are just the work of busy hands. The Law devotees of the Old Testament were busy bees. God said keep the Sabbath Day holy. But the Law fans built a hive of rules on the Commandment’s core, layering on 39 principles then piling on 39 more.
Finally, your grandmother couldn’t even wear her false teeth on the Sabbath because that constituted carrying a burden! Jesus took all the law books, got them back down to the simple, sublime truths the Father gave for our orderly, happy living in the fallen world, fulfilled them all, then transferred His obedience to the Law to everyone who would receive Him!
Because God looks on the heart and not ritualistic actions of the body, all in Christ are judged in full compliance with the Law. Your graced granny can even wear false teeth on the Sabbath.
