Not For Sale

A little boy walked up to a guard at the Washington Monument. He had 30 cents in his hand, and he told the guard he wanted to buy the monument. The guard, a very wise man, explained that it was not for sale. But then he explained that the boy didn’t have to purchase the monument because he already owned it. It belongs to the citizens of the United States and all those who take pride in our nation. Similarly, we cannot purchase our salvation. It is not for sale. 

It has already been purchased through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, on that cross of redemption. Salvation is already yours – it’s already mine – when we confess our sin, turn to Christ, and ask by faith for Him to take control of our lives.
