"For we know that if the earthly tent which is our house is torn down, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens." - 2 CORINTHIANS 5:1
Physicians spend their days listening to the woes of sagging tents. Orthopedists deal with the tent “pegs,” dermatologists the “canvas,” and the general practitioner the whole structure. Some people—even Christians—fear being “tentless,” disembodied after death, because Christ hasn’t come “yet” to clothe them with the resurrection body. However, there is no past, present or future in eternity; all is the everlasting now. At death the person in Christ leaves the tenses of this dimension, and enters the eternal present-tense. Immediately, he or she is clothed in the resurrection body of Christ, the “building from God.”
