The Grid of Jesus

"According to the grace of God which was given me, like a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and another is building on it. But each man must be careful how he builds on it. For no man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ."1 Corinthians 3:10-11
What does it mean to have Jesus as our foundation? It means we run everything through the grid of Jesus. Electricity runs through a grid, or network of conductors that distributes the power needed for various sites.
As we run everything through Christ – our spiritual growth, our relationships, our finances, our health matters, our vocational decisions – yes, everything – the Holy Spirit empowers us to develop our gifts and abilities into building blocks for a life that will honor God and attract others to Him. Not only that, as our lives run through the grid, we develop an eternal mindset that spills over into our practical daily lives. So take time to get quiet and inspect your life … is it running through the grid of Jesus?
