"He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him." - PSALM 126:6 KJV
There is pain and hardship in giving your best when you’re uncertain about the harvest. A mother pours her compassion into a child, praying that the “soil” of the little heart is receptive. A man invests labor and toil in mentoring a lagging associate, wondering if the time and effort are worth it. A teacher struggles to implant truth in a seemingly distracted student. Tears, heartache, sacrifice, disappointment seem the stuff of sowing. But God’s guarantee is that when we sow His Gospel in the “fields” to which we are assigned, there will come a point when we see the harvest.
