Electronic messages are zipping all around you, available to any receiver tuned to pick them up. “Speak to me, O God,” we sometimes pray. The truth is, like the electronic messages riding their frequency bands, God never stops speaking. If you’re not hearing God, it may be that your heart is not tuned to His frequency.
A radio tuner resonates at the frequency you choose and ignores all the thousands of others. If the tuner attempted to resonate at all the frequencies, the radio would go crazy trying to sort out them all. If you’ve heard overlapping radio signals and static, you understand how confusing it can be.
Spiritually, there are zillions of “messages” oscillating at a given moment. The devil never stops trying to get our attention. Spiritual static and overlapping signals cause confusion in our inner beings. Set your heart on God’s “frequency,” and you will hear clearly.
TODAY’S FOCUS
Ask God to help you set your heart’s focus on Him and His Word.
