Worship like the angels

December 06, 2019
“And suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God and saying, ‘Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased.” - Luke 2:13-14

What comes to your mind when I say the word “Christmas?” I have to admit that, for me, it’s fruitcake! But Christmas also makes us think of the stable, the manger, the Wise Men, the shepherds – and the angels! Read the beautiful and familiar account in Luke 2, and you discover that the shepherds were suddenly surrounded by an explosion of angels. The angels proclaimed, “Glory to God in the highest” as they sang in worship of this Baby who was born to be our Savior.

There will come a day when every knee will bow, and every tongue confess, that Jesus is Lord. That is the result of Christmas. God visited the earth and became a man.  Jesus came to die to demonstrate the depth and breadth of God’s love for you and me. Take a note from the angels and worship Him for the Good News that is Christmas.
