Thou Shalt Not Be A Passive Parent

Passive parents are not spiritual leaders in their homes, they do not provide the direction their children need, and they fail to build the right stuff into their children. By contrast, godly parents know that what they say and what they model is important, and they make the daily sacrifices essential to filling their homes with the affirmation, appreciation, and affection that constitute parenting with grace.
